As the school year begins – however that might look – the challenges we’ve seen since March will persist. Data shows rates of childhood obesity and Type II diabetes among food-insecure children have already skyrocketed during this pandemic. Our Chefs Feeding Families initiative remains committed to equitable access to nourishing, delicious, plant-forward meals. In addition, as we approach the start of the 2020/2021 school year, Real Food for Kids will be adapting its suite of programs that foster and support healthy choices to more accessible formats best suited for the future school structure.
